MISC COLLAGE - Gallery 1

"I'M EVERY WOMAN" MANNEQUIN

Picture
I found this female body mannequin and decided to collage it in words relating to things feminine.

The words could only be positive or inspiring ones.

A good challenge and I am happy with how it turned out.

'PALLINA'

Picture
A gift made for a very talented fellow artist, and my help, support & inspiration to start this site.

Amanda from Pallina Designs - www.pallinadesigns.com

I love using symbolism so there is lots of symbolism in this piece that pertains to Amanda personally.

Example: 'A' embellishment for Amanda, 'Key' to unlock her creative potential, 'Butterflies' to let her imagination fly free, 'Pallina' her company name and spelled out in old typewriter keys, Amanda uses this style of beading for her jewellery creations. "Hand' cork embellishments, she hand makes her creations. "Create' wording to help inspire her and the fem mannequin/body parts & lace to symbolise her.

Materials used:
140mm x 200mm wooden block 12mm thickness, cardboard embellishment, scrap booking paper, cork embellishments, soft (gloss) gel medium.

'EYE OF THE SUN'

Picture
I cut paper in varying shades of yellow/orange and formed them into a sun shape, alternating in between with 'eye' pictures.  You get the idea - sun shape & eye pics = 'Eye Of The Sun' piece.

Materials used:
Cardboard for sun shape template, magazine pages for yellow/orange shading and eye pictures, decoupage glue
