I had the pleasure of attending a luncheon with Sensing Murder psychic Kelvin Cruickshank in 2008 and I gifted this piece I made for him.
He seemed to like and said it would be hung in his office.
'Keep it Real' is Kelvin's motto. (Side View)

'REES FAMILY'

Picture
A gift for my extended family.
They live on a farm, so I took them for a photo session in their hay shed and then put this piece together for them.

Materials used:
8" x 10" canvas with 1 1/2 edge, metallic brown acrylic paint for base, wooden letters, scrap booking paper, wooden embellishments, scrap booking stickers, jig saw puzzle pieces, black acrylic paint, decoupage glue, gloss finish

'TANE FAMILY KORU'

Picture
A gift for a work colleague who moved to Australia with his wife & daughter.
The fronds represent the 3 of them as a family.
I cut the koru shape out of cardboard and then used paua shell design paper and collaged it little piece by little piece.  Lots of gluing, but I love the effect it gives it.

Foam mounted to sit away from the canvas, and a few pieces of paua shell down the sides to finish it off.

Materials used:
8" x 8" canvas with 1 1/2 edge, black acrylic paint for base, cardboard for koru template, paua shell effect wrapping paper, foam mounting, paua shell pieces, decoupage glue
